Intravenous vitamin and mineral therapy drips involve injections of vitamin and mineral solutions into a vein in the arm. Injections directly into veins provide a powerful route of administration and absorption. Intravenous vitamins and minerals can be used for health maintenance and disease prevention to help people stay healthy and strong.
Intravenous (IV) therapies(IV Drips) provide people with injections of therapeutic substances. People often receive intravenous antibiotics and diuretics at hospitals because pills are not enough. Generally, it can be useful to take vitamins and minerals orally, and we recommend that when appropriate. But, if vitamins and minerals are not adequately absorbed into the body, they are useless.
Frequently, due to certain disease states that create intestinal malabsorption, patients do not adequately absorb vitamins and minerals through the gut, or gastrointestinal tract. This creates a situation in which patients do not experience the results they want.
The rationale for using intravenous vitamin therapy is associated with two major factors:
- Absorption of intravenous therapy may be superior to oral pills due to limitations of the gut to effectively process therapeutic levels of various micronutrients.
- Higher plasma levels of various micronutrients can be established quickly with intravenous therapy thereby creating a deeper, faster influence on cellular metabolic processes, which leads to a better overall cellular function.
Safe
The substances used in IVNT are vitamins, minerals, and water, all of which are classified as “Essential Nutrients”. It’s an apt name, as they are ‘essential’ for life; however, they are also nutrients that the body cannot synthesize on its own. Traditionally they were obtained from food we eat, but modern food is often modified and over processed, leaving many of us severely deficient in these essential nutrients.
Scientifically proven
All of the intravenous protocols used at IV Revive have been thoroughly researched and developed by a team of leading medical doctors and pharmacists.
The products we use are synthetically or bio-technologically produced, they are all GMO, GLUTEN, HEXANE and SUGAR FREE. Our products are VEGAN friendly and contain NO TRACES OF ANIMAL. They are classified by the MHRA as Borderline Medicines and are used for Supplementation only and not to treat medical conditions, nor make any medical claims.
Personalised
Male or female, young or old, short or tall, active life style or chained to the desk, everyone is unique and so are their nutrient requirements. With IV Revive, there are many treatment options for IV therapy depending on individual goals, and our products are designed to meet a range of different needs.
Fast delivery, fast effects
The IV Infusion session takes 45-60 minutes. Many patients begin to feel the effects during the IV therapy, which then continues over the following hours and days. It doesn’t take long to start feeling refreshed, re-energised, and revitalized.
With Intravenous Nutrition, the nutrients enter the bloodstream directly and immediately. Much higher concentrations of nutrients are delivered directly to the body’s cells through intravenous therapy, allowing the body to better absorb and utilise these nutrients.
Benefits
IntraVita IV nutrients are used for supplementation purposes only and not to treat any medical conditions. Our formulas are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any form of disease or medical condition.

Frequently Asked Questions
Intravenous vitamin and mineral therapy involves injections of vitamin and mineral solutions into a vein in the arm. Injections directly into veins provide a powerful route of administration and absorption. Intravenous vitamins and minerals can be used for health maintenance and disease prevention to help people stay healthy and strong.
Physicians have used intravenous vitamin and mineral treatments safely for several decades. All the components of the solution are compounds natural to the body, and generally pose no health risks. These treatments are much safer compared to the common intravenous treatments people know about such as chemotherapy and antibiotics.
Side effects felt at the time of infusion may include the following. Please note that these side effects are rare, and tend to resolve following cessation of the intravenous therapy.
- Irritation in the vein
- Lowering of blood pressure
- Lowering of blood sugar
- Headaches
- Muscle cramps or weakness
- Arm pain at the infusion site
- Dizziness
- Light headedness
These issues can be prevented when patient are well hydrated and without hunger prior to intravenous therapy. Some patients bring snacks to eat while receiving intravenous therapy.
Some patients may have fatigue and/or headaches for the first 24 hours following the intravenous therapy.
Most patients experience significant overall improvements.
- Better energy
- Better mental clarity
- Improved sleep
- Overall generalized improvement of their complaints
- Subjective feelings of well being
Patients commonly report one of two patterns after intravenous therapy.
- People who feel better right away meaning they really need the biochemical ingredients in the intravenous and the physiology improves quickly.
- People who feel tired or unwell are generally in the process of detoxifying. When toxins are pulled out of tissues, they re-enter the blood stream. They remain poisons, but they are now on their way OUT instead of on their way IN. Even when patients do not feel well at this stage, the process is one of healing and cleaning. After this period, an overall improvement in one’s sense of well being is generally reported.
Intravenous vitamins and minerals work in various ways.
- Correcting nutritional and biochemical deficiencies
- Improving the function of cells and the immune system
- Protecting cells from damage
- Decreasing inflammation
- Detoxifying the system
The number and frequency of treatments will vary depending on certain factors.
A general estimate of treatments are decided at the evaluation appointment, and then a more specific number as we go along with the treatment plan.
The infusion is offered only after a medical consultation with Dr Biju Philip.
Dr Biju Philip (GMC No: 6072826) is a medical doctor with more than 20 years experience, of which 16 years has been in the field of Anaesthetics and Critical Care. In addition to have undergone training in IV vitamin and mineral infusions, he is also trained in Dental Sedation and Facial Aesthetics, including Botox and dermal filler treatments. He also works as an Anaesthetist at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St. Edmunds.
At IV Revive, we have all facilities for monitoring the patient during the procedure. We are equipped with automatic digital patient monitors and resuscitation facilities. You can rest assured that you are in safe hands.
All of the intravenous protocols used have been thoroughly researched and developed by a team of leading medical doctors, naturopathic doctors, and nutritionists.
We are able to formulate our IV infusions to ensure maximum effectiveness combined with minimal side effects.
Although there are no studies that show beyond doubt that IV infusions have proven benefits, most patient who receive the infusions experience some benefits.
Vitamin infusions shouldn’t be used in place of good nutrition and lifestyle. The infusions that we provide are not offered as a treatment for any medical conditions.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant, which performs a variety of functions when introduced to the body. Although IV Vitamin C infusions are not approved as treatment for any medical conditions, studies show that vitamin C may protect against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even skin wrinkling.
Unfortunately, the human body doesn’t produce vitamin C naturally. While we can get Vitamin C from food or supplements, they may not provide the amount of vitamin C necessary to make an impact on our health.
Studies have revealed that the ideal dosage may be higher than the recommended dietary allowance. Although vitamin C is very beneficial, it’s very difficult to ingest enough of it to have optimal impact.
Fortunately, when taken by intravenous (IV) infusion, vitamin C can reach much higher levels in the blood than when it is taken by mouth.
Side effects: High-dose vitamin C treatments can cause abdominal cramps or pain, chest pain, dizziness, diarrhoea, faintness, fatigue, headache, and other mild symptoms.
In humans, glutathione is probably the most important endogenous antioxidant.
Glutathione acts alone and in synergy with other antioxidants, such as Vitamin C to neutralise damaging molecules throughout the body.
